The DaimlerChrysler Customer Assistance Centre handles all customer contacts for DaimlerChrysler in Europe.
In order to optimize the response time of their technicians on the ground, Mountbatten Ltd. developed a demo tracker system for DaimlerChrysler which enabled them to locate the closest technician to a customer breakdown in near realtime. The system was designed using GPS enabled handheld PocketPC's which connected to a central server using GPRS and SOAP. |
