Conservation Through Public Health, a grassroots non-profit organization, was founded in December 2002 by Ugandans dedicated to helping their country and region by promoting an integrated approach to wildlife conservation and human public health. CTPH had a static website which was built with Macromedia by a volunteer several years back. They did not have a Macromedia license and had difficulties updating their website on a regular basis, although they are often in the news. Mountbatten proposed to replace their current website with one powered by Drupal. The look and feel of the website would stay unchanged, but the manageability increased tremendously. Also because Drupal is a dynamic system CTPH was able to introduce e-cards, an rss feed, embedded video and a contact form for all staff members. The project included a training for CTPH staff on the Drupal basics and thorough documentation on the specifics of the CTPH Drupal implementation. |
